Alright, so maybe Nessie isn’t lighting up my living room just yet, but you can bet that if this concept lamp design ever gets produced, she will. The big question though: Shall I put her on a wall or ceiling?

Nessie the Lamp was designed by 2-B-2 Architecture and is everything I want in a lamp. It’s silly, curvy, and can be split into pieces if I ever get bored of it. Somebody please produce this thing already. [Yanko Design]

Not the first time Nvidia’s slapped bigger numbers on older cards, PC Perspective reports that a bunch of the 300 series cards are reincarnated versions of previous cards.
The GeForce 310 is the same as the GeForce 210, using the GT218 core; the GeForce 315 uses the same GT216 core as the GT 220; and the GT 340 is basically a GT 240. And then there’s the GT 320 and GT 330, which use the G92b core, which has roots going back to the GeForce 8800 GT (a card that debuted in 2007).
Man, those new Fermi-powered chips can’t come fast enough. [PC Perspective]

HyTrust, which helps companies manage and control virtual infrastructure, has secured $10.5 million in Series B funding from Granite Ventures and Cisco Systems. Existing investors Trident Capital and Epic Ventures also participated in the round. The latest round of funding brings the HyTrust’s total funding to $16 million.
HyTrust says it will use the new funding to drive product development and to fuel sales and marketing efforts. HyTrust has developed a policy management system specifically for virtualization, enabling IT departments to control and virtualize servers.

The annual Geneva Motor Show has had an early entry ahead of next week, with Honda’s battery-powered 3R-C concept trike looking very fast and ever so protective of the dry head inside.
The minimal, space-age three-wheeler has a low electric drivetrain to improve stability, and high sides for greater safety. Added to that, the lockable boot at the front will protect the millions of dollars worth of jewels you’ve just stolen in the high-speed jewelery heist (I’m just elaborating on the fantasy of owning one).
It’ll probably never come to fruition, like a lot of Honda’s great concepts, but this DIY Honda Innova motorcycle is scarily close. Well, if you squint your eyes and look at it upside down, anyway. [Electricpig and Jalopnik]

Tackling many green issues, Philips has lent its name to the Sustainable City Lights concept project, with the opening and closing lamps harnessing energy from the sun and wind to glow LED-bright in the evenings. Beautiful. [Yanko Design]
